The property abounds with wildlife including a diverse range of birds
from wedge-tailed eagles to king parrots, bowerbirds, kingfishers
and honeyeaters. Native animals include kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas,
koalas and possums. Giant goannas, turtles and platypus may also be
seen and there are lots of fish in the river.

There are several well-marked tracks through the forest on the 160
acre property. One of the main tracks takes you to the top of the
hill behind the retreat, providing spectacular views back towards
the coast.

Toms Creek Retreat fronts on to the Ellenborough River and guests
can swim in a large private waterhole. Your hosts can advise you when
and where to observe an elusive platypus.
