Light meals and groceries are available from Long Flat General Store,
approximately 5 minutes away. The Travellers Rest Hotel at Long Flat
also has an excellent restaurant (Open Frid/Sat for dinner and Sunday
lunch). There are also some excellent restaurants in Wauchope, approximately
25 minutes away, with a variety of dining options at Port Macquarie
on the coast. Blue Poles Café Gallery in Byabarra and the Udder
Cow Café in Comboyne are also excellent options less than half
an hour’s drive away.
The Hastings Farmers’ Markets at the Wauchope Showground is
well worth a visit. The markets are held on the 4th Saturday of every
month at the Wauchope Showground, High Street, Wauchope. Local produce
is in abundance including organic fruit and vegetables, cheese and
yoghurt from Hastings Dairy, native plants, and produce from the local
olive, macadamia and cumquat growers.
